Born and raised in Bournville, I was educated at Bournville Infant, Junior and Senior Schools, before moving on to the University of Central England in Birmingham where I studied for my degree in Industrial Information Technology.
I began my working career at Austin Rover in Birmingham where I worked until 1998. I then moved on to work for a local IT Services company and in 2007 I started my own professional services company.
I am married, and have two children who were both educated at schools in the area.
I currently sit as a member of the West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority. I am a governor at Selly Oak Trust School, Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Technology College and I am on the board of directors at Birmingham Ormiston Academy. I also attend St. Francis Church, and I am a co-opted member of Bournville Village Council.
