Labour Council rejects Conservative rescue plan for Birmingham libraries

The Labour run City Council rejected the rescue plan which would have seen every library in Birmingham remain open.
School crossing patrols across the city are believed to be at risk as the city council has to make cutbacks.
The men and women gathered together in Lyndon Road, Cotteridge - complete with the orange lollipop sticks - to make their point.
